Attention Students:
"Click It or Ticket" awareness is Nov. 17-30. The Illinois State Police reminds you to always wear your seat belt. The simple act of buckling your seat belt reduces your chances of serious injury or death by 50 to 60 percent. A traffic crash occurs every 5 seconds and a traffic fatality every 12 minutes in the US. Teenagers are killed in crashes at a far higher rate than any other age group. The fact is, traffic crashes are the #1 cause of death among teenagers, far outpacing crime and disease-related causes. Play it safe. Take a second and buckle your seat belt. It just might be the decision of a lifetime!
